I rarely cover Thailand news because I think most of it is completely irrelevant, mildly entertaining at best. It’s just the Thai version of useless information. Accident here, drunks fighting there … blah, blah, blah.
60 Day Visa Free
The recent visa change is worth mentioning though. I don’t want to bother you with any unnecessary details, but in essence most of you watching this video were able to enter Thailand – just showing up with your Western passport – and stay for 30 days. That has no been extended to 60 days. Most of you won’t probably stay more than 4 weeks, but for those that do, it’s nice.
Not only do you not have to go through the immigration office to extend your stay (paperwork, etc.) but most condo rentals are minimum 1 month, so you can now rent at a lower rate rather than paying the daily rate, or having to go the AirBNB route instead of renting the condo directly in your name for 1 or 2 months.
Condom Quality
Next topic: Choosing condoms. This is related to the following comment: “I have no experience with condoms but I heard years ago that the best quality are from Japan. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the brand, with your extensive experience can you recommend a good brand?“
I have talked about this before – it’s worth repeating since condoms are important – nightlife, girls, having fun … you know what I’m talking about.
There are condom brands such as MySize and TheyFit which have a much wider range of sizes compared to the more well-know brands, such as Durex. I sometimes call them custom fit condoms – they are not, but you get the idea.
7-Eleven and pharmacies in Thailand have very limited condom options. There are local website that you can order from, and receive the package for your package within days.
When it comes to condoms, absolutely take care of it in advance. Regardless of brand, or where you buy. You don’t want to have no condoms, and then resort to the ones you can buy at 7-Eleven, find out they either don’t fit, or uncomfortable to wear, and end up not using condoms at all.
Sort of like being on a diet, not having your meals ready and then just eating random crap. Just try on some condoms prior to your trip and bring them with you – in large enough quantity. Problem solved.
Going out, partying, drinking, meeting girls — those are NOT the scenarios in which you want to experiment and try to figure out which condoms fit, or which ones you like best. Do it in advance!
Blood Test/Bedroom Enhancements
Somewhat related to condoms, at least in terms of health, or blood test. I’ve covered this in-depth in my email newsletter, so I just repeat that here in case you’ve missed it.
First off, I’ll address the elephant in the room: Where do you buy “stuff” that helps in the bedroom? Is it safe to buy from street vendors?
There is a generic version of the blue pill available at most pharmacies. This is the legit stuff produced by a state-run Government Pharmaceutical Organization.
Best of all, it’s inexpensive. This would be my #1 recommendation as to WHERE to buy. As for a doctor consultation, you can get that (if you want one; in practice nobody asks for a prescription) for less than $10.
As for doctor consultations, blood tests in general …
- https://www.pulse-clinic.com/ (My preference)
All are good. I prefer Pulse Clinic as you get your report back with some recommendations (if some value is out of range). Plus, you can also book an inexpensive consultation with an English-speaking doctor (around 500 Thai Baht = $14 USD) to discuss everything.
Lastly, Where to buy (health) supplements in Thailand?
This topic recently came up in our Telegram group – someone was asking for Melatonin & where to buy it. Most of these health supplements you won’t find in pharmacies but only online. For example, I’ve scouted dozens of pharmacies looking for pure caffeine pills (to use a a preworkout/for focus) but they simply don’t offer it as a standalone supplement (only in a combination product for migraines).
The same applies to Melatonin and various other supplements. Your best bet is Lazada – there you’ll find 90% of what you are looking for and can have it delivered right to your condo/hotel.
As mentioned, those are the basics you can use right way. For more, there is a hormone series in the Premium Videos & Thailand Guide (3 TRT videos). Any questions beyond that via email (if you’re a member). There is also the uncensored Telegram group (currently 120 members) if you want additional input. All links are in the video description.
