There is no need to sugarcoat things. If you have no self-control and stay in Pattaya for extended periods of time, you are putting yourself in a high-risk situation.
That’s really what it is.
If you are that kind of person, only being able to stay in Thailand for a limited number of days, having limited vacation days per year is the best thing that can happen to you.
Pattaya is like a drug. If you know HOW & WHEN to use it, have figured out the right dosage, then it will greatly enhance – most-likely even – change your life.
… but like any drug. You don’t know how to use it, over time, it will end up using you.
And that will be your definitive downfall – in one way, or another. Women, alcohol, other drugs – there are many easy ways to go down the wrong path.
I don’t mean to scare you, my goal is to simply educate you. Easy and cheap access to pleasures is the greatest threat to a man with no self-control.
At home, or even in most other countries, even if you have no self-control, there are certain barriers in the way of you going completely crazy.
In most cases, this barrier is money. But when everything is cheap and very affordable, that barrier no longer exists.
So, does this mean you shouldn’t go?
Are you at risk?
It just means you should know yourself. If you have a tendency to go crazy, to not be able to control yourself, then perhaps a 3 months stay in Pattaya isn’t a good idea.
Maybe keep it intense and short, rather than intense for long periods. That’s where the real damage is done.
And for the most part, what I have just said applies to Pattaya only simply because there’s such an extensive nightlife.
So take care and enjoy Thailand – including Pattaya.
